The Final Straw

Lamont was riding his bike to school again. It was a few days before they would leave for Christmas break, and soon school would be out for two weeks.
Lamont arrived at the school, and started to go to class, when Julie Cupp slapped him. "What is that for?"
"That is for watching me take a shower after volleyball practice."
"It wasn't me."
"I heard a noise. You grabbed my arms, and turned me around. There you looked at the front of me, and then touched me."
Lamont was taken-a-back.
"I looked right into your eyes, and saw you." Then she walked off.
"There is something wrong here," Lamont said.
Meanwhile at his headquarters, Dark Parallax was planning his next move.
"Those L-team members are starting to get on my nerves. They have already destroyed half of my Mirror L-team. I still need to use the energy of the Mirror L-team before I can return home."
He walked to his window, and looked out at the landscape of the Castle Hill golf course. "I need to strike at the heart of the L-team. I know! I'll capture the leaders of the Railroaders, because every member of the L-team is also a member or the Power Rangers RAILROAD. With the brain out of the way, then the L-team will fail."
He turned around. "Mirror Knight, I choose you."
The Mirror Knight appeared. "What is your wish?"
"Before Cyborg Andy died, he left me the map to the Railroaders' secret headquarters. Knowing that the L-team is just a bunch of eighth graders, they probably didn't change it yet. I want you to capture Joseph and Danny again. Not only will it hurt the L-team, but I also will extract the information that they learned by the mob at Vandalia."
"Right," the Miror Knight said, and disappeared.
"And don't fail," Dark parallax finished.
Meanwhile, some of the other L-team members had also discovered that they were accused of doing stuff that they hadn't done.
Brad got pushed down. "Did I do something to you, too?"
"No, I just like pushing you around," Mark said.
"Great, my personality comes around again."
Mark laughed, kicked him then left.
Brad got up with fire in his eyes. "No more. No one is going to push me around anymore. This is the final straw."
Back at the Railroaders' new headquarters, Joe and Danny were cleaning up. The ship the L-team 001 was docked in the docking bay.
"Um, Joey, when are we going to tell them about what we learned when Charlie had us trapped?"
"The time is almost right. They now have the full star power, and are starting to reach their full potential."
Just then, the Mirror Knight appeared and attacked them. "Hey, 'member me?" Then he fired a transporter laser at them, and transported them to their headquarters.
Lamont met up with Jamie Pounds at lunch. "Hey, how are you doing?" Jamie asked.
"I'm doing okay."
"So are you being accused of stuff, too?"
"Yes, I am. Julie accused me of molesting her in the shower."
"Mark said that I came on to him."
"Who could be doing this stuff?"
"I don't know but..."
Just then they realized who was behind it.
"The Mirror L-team," they said in unison.
"Maybe not only do they have our powers, but are also mirror replicas of us, too."
"Dark Parallax has to be behind this."
"Who?"
"A few weeks ago, when I was jumping dimensions looking for the dodo bird, I met some other people from other dimensions. There was Keith, Ramses, Theresa, Zika, and Blade. Now, Blade has two clones made of him; Colt and Dark Parallax. That is who we are facing, and, believe me, if Dark Parallax is anything like the original, we are in big trouble."
"And now there is a clone of each of us running around."
"Actually, there are two of me. It's a long story, which I'll tell you later. Not only is the Mirror Knight around here, but there is a good clone of me, in another dimension, helping out the Syber Soldiers."
"The who?!"
"Another long story."
Aren then walked up. "I've been trying to get a hold of our leaders, but I can't get through."
"We will be right there."
They went outside, and waited till the coast was clear.
"It's L-team time!"
"Medical Doctor Star Power!" Jamie Pounds transformed into a Medical Doctor.
"Ninja Star Power!" Aren transformed into a Ninja.
"Knight Star Power!" Lamont transformed into a Knight. "Let's go!"
They raced to their headquarters, the tracks near Taylorsville, which is about a mile from Charlie Nako's headquarters. The tracks are also at the other end of the Castle Hills Golf Course.
At Dark Parallax's headquarters, the leaders of the Railroaders were tied up.
"Welcome to my hideout," Dark Parallax said. "I hope you have a pleasant stay. Now, where is the secret of the Vandalian Mob?"
"We will never tell you," Joe said.
Dark Parallax, for the first time in his life, demorphed, standing there was Blade. "No one from this dimension can even dream of defeating me."
"That's because you haven't faced of with Lamont's Team," Danny said.
"Your stupid little L-team is no match for me."
"Lamont, Jamie, and Aren are at the headquarters."
"Excellent!" Dark Parallax said. "Mirror Red Wizard, Mirror Black Wizard, Mirror Tracker, and Mirror White Wizard go and bring those three to me."
"Yes, sir," the Mirror team said. Then the transported away.
"I like these guys. They are much more then those losers from the Evil Council. Oh, when I get back I'm going to teach that Sinestro a lesson. He'll wish he had never betrayed his ex-friends at the Galaxy League."
Lamont, Aren, and Jamie searched the headquarters, and found the place ransacked.
"This is really spooky," Lamont/Knight said.
"I'm not picking up any life signs here," Jamie/Doctor said. "Stop!" Aren/Ninja said. "I think I hear something."
Just then, three of the Mirror L-team appeared.
"I tracked them down," Mirror Tracker said.
"Illusion magic now!" Mirror Red Wizard said.
The three L-team members looked around and were distracted by the illusions.
While they were distracted, the Mirror Black Wizard fired lightning and fire spells at them.
"Come on," Lamont/Knight said, "call on your weapons."
"Ninja stars!"
"Staff!"
"Light saber!"
Aren/Ninja threw the stars at Mirror Black Wizard, who was wounded.
"I think we've got them," Jamie/Doctor said.
Just then, the Mirror White Wizard healed the Black Wizard.
"Ah man, this is going to be longer then we thought," Lamont/Knight said.
Back at Morton Middle School, Travis was picking on Brad, and pushing him around. Brad got a fire in his eyes. He turned to Travis and punched him. Then he hit someone else. "That was the final straw. Anyone who messes with me is going to regret it."
"I've got an idea," Jamie/Doctor said. She distracted Mirror White Wizard with her staff, and Lamont/Knight finished him off with his saber.
Next, Aren/Ninja threw the stars at Mirror Red Wizard, and finished him off, too.
Next, Mirror Tracker jumped at Jamie/Doctor, but she held her staff up and Mirror Tracker fell right into it. He was also finished off.
Lamont/Knight looked at Mirror Black Wizard. "You are next."
Mirror Black Wizard just laughed, then fired ice, then fire, then lightning, but Lamont/Knight dodged his attacks.
"The rest of the Mirror Team is being defeated," Mirror Ninja reported.
"What? I will not accept this," the evil Blade said. He pulled a large pipe from the shelf, and walk to Joseph and Danny.
While dodging the attacks, Lamont/Knight found a shield with a mirror on it. Mirror Black Wizard fired the fire at him, but he reflected it back with the shield. As it was coming back, he had started to fire his ice beam, but the fire melted it all over him. Then came the lightning bolt, which was reflected right back at his wet body. He was fried.
"I'm tracking their transporter path. Follow me," Lamont/Knight said.
Just then, the Vandalian Mob stopped them. "There is a contract on the heads of the Railroaders, so we came to collect."
"We're not the Power Rangers Railroaders. No, we are the exciting L-team," Lamont/Knight said.
"Oh, okay," said one of them.
"You idiot!" the other one said. "The L-team is just the Railroaders with powers. All but two of the Railroaders have powers. Now kill them."
"As much as we'd like to play, guys, we have to rescue our friends now," Jamie/Doctor said.
"You'll have to get through us first."
"Okay," the L-team said in unison. Then, they all pulled out their weapons again. This scared the mob away.
"Um…we'll be back."
"So predicable," Aren/Ninja said. "Let's go."
They crossed the golf course and walked inside the building. As they were walking to the room with the captives, they heard something. Lamont told them to go on ahead, and he checked out the noise.
"Take off that helmet," someone said. Lamont did. "So, at last we meet. Face to face." He stepped out of the shadows and Lamont saw Blade's face.
"Dark Parallax!"
the evil Blade was taken-a-back. "You know who I am?"
"After Blade defeated you, we fought side by side in another dimension," Lamont said.
"So you're friends with Blade. That will make it even more enjoyable when I rip out your heart."
Lamont activated his light saber. "I don't think so."
the evil Blade held his pipe in the air. "I don't even need to morph to finish you off."
"Cocky, aren't we?"
They started to battle.
Back at the Vandalian Mob headquarters, they had a meeting.
"I think it's time to call on the ultimate weapons."
Lamont and the evil Blade continued the fight that had lasted for seven minutes. Then Blade slung his pipe and it broke the light saber in half. "Like I said, you're finished."
Lamont put his helmet back on. "I'm not done yet. Soul Weapon of Fervor Lake, now!" Lamont's sword, Excalibur, from his Austorors adventure, appeared in his hand. "Now it's a whole new ball game."
The evil Blade just laughed and went to strike Lamont/Knight to finish him off. He raised the pipe in the air.
Lamont/Knight raised his sword and swung. It went through the evil Blade's right wrist, flinging the hand with the pipe away. Then it continued down his left cheek, creating a downward, diagonal scar moving away from the nose.
The evil Blade screamed out in pain. "No one has ever defeated me before but Blade!"
"Like I said, I've fought with the original."
Just then, Mirror Knight ran in. "We've activated the self distruct on this place." The evil Blade, nursing his wrist and his face, cut left with the three remaining Mirror L-team members.
Lamont/Knight demorphed and went into the room. There, he saw Jamie and Aren, who had also demorphed, looking over Joe and Danny's lifeless bodies. Lamont got down, and then with their last breathes, both Danny and Joseph told Lamont something.
Then, the building started exploding, and they escaped, leaving their dead friends behind.
Lamont, Jamie, and Aren stared at the blaze. "Dark Parallax will pay for this. This is the final straw!"
The Vandalian Mob finished their meeting.
"It is agreed, we will use the ultimate weapon the next time we face them. This is the final straw!"
Back at the Middle School, it was getting out, and Brad had one final message for everybody. "No one will mess with me! If they do mess with me, they will regret it! This is the final straw!"
At the new hideout, the three Mirror L-team members were standing around the evil Blade.
"Dark Parallax Power!" The evil Blade transformed into Dark Parallax.
Where his right hand used to be was now replaced with a hook. He looked at it, and you could see fire in his visor.
"I will eliminate every member of the L-team to avenge Cyborg Andy's death. Then I will exterminate Lamont. After that, I will return to my dimension to eliminate Sinestro and retake control of the Evil Council. I'll throw Lamont's head at Parallax, then exterminate him. After I wipe out the Galaxy League, the universe will be mine. This is the final straw!"
Next time, it's all out revenge as everyone attacks everyone at once. Is this the last battle of the L-team? Will they finally get rid of the evil, or will they be eliminated? Find out in
