Skyland and the Jewel Rangers

"My name is Skyland. I'm the Orange Ranger from the future, 2116 A.D. to be exact. I have traveled back in time to help modern Rangers fight the forces of evil and protect my own future."

Skyland is 18 years old, 5'9" tall, 145 lbs, with Green Eyes and Auburn Hair

Skyland is a computer artist, scientist & the leader of the Power Rangers in her time. She has been a Ranger for 2 1/2 years.

She now lives in private housing near her parents and younger brother on the Lunar colony, New Angel Grove. New Angel Grove is often ground zero for battles between Rangers and the Dark Army.

Skyland was going to go off to college after graduation, but she decided that her commitment to the Jewel Ranger team was more important to her.

In 2113, Skyland and the five other Jewel Rangers were given their powers by the Immortal Prism Ranger. At 15 yrs old, Skyland was chosen to become leader of the Jewel Rangers. In the year 2115, all the Power Rangers in the Galaxy had to combine forces to try to defeat the powerful Dark Army, who seek to rule the universe. Rangers from all planets and solar systems come to fight a battle in Earth's solar system. Earth is in the middle of a battle for control of the Milky Way.

In 2116 ,while still fighting, some of the Dark Army escapes into the past through a time portal. Skyland is the only Ranger who notices and chases them back into time. She cannot let them win.

Discriptions of Powers

Skyland, the Orange Ranger, has the unique gift of being able to focus the powers of other Rangers into a strong beam of energy to defeat an enemy. In focusing the Powers through herself and the 'Orange Prism' or Jewel which she wears, the powers are intensified three fold. The Orange Rangers Staff, which is white with a orange jewel rose on top, is an all purpose tool. The Staff can morph into any object or thing which Skyland wishes it to (ex. A horse, vehicle, sword, or rope, etc). The staff can also project the Orange Rangers Powers in a surge of energy through the jewel on the staff. Because of how powerful she is alone and the types of battles waged in the future the Orange Rangers does not have a Zord which she pilots, but rather has a space craft and intergalactic teleportation ability. Because of time restraints in her following the Dark Army soldiers and generals into the past, she was unable to bring her ship with her. With a few prism crystals given to her by the Prism Ranger, she is sometimes able to trap portions of the Dark Army in the crystals. Capturing 20-50 soldiers at a time of the Army makes no dent in it's size, the prism crystals are very rare and so they are seldomly used.

*The Prism Ranger is a 4,000 year old immortal female named Lucent, who was intrusted with the gifts of the Prism long ago. The Prism from which she derives her powers was permanently imbedded into her chest by a powerful sorcerer almost 4 millennia ago. The prism crystal is the source of her immortality, without which she is mortal, much like any teenager and vulnerable…Yet, since then she has traveled the universe in a space craft all alone except for a 'Spark', (an entirely energy life form similar to a dog) named Osiris, who travels with her. She has become very wise and powerful.

The Prism Ranger only stays on Earth long enough to form the Jewel Rangers before she is called off to a battle elsewhere in the galaxy. Lucent, the Prism Ranger, does however make future appearances and keep contact with her Jewel Rangers.

Only certain individuals in the population possess the attributes needed to be a Ranger and use the Jewel powers. For this reason only two of the Rangers are American.

*Evin, a Native American from Oklahoma, lives on his family's mustang reserve and ranch, where he works as a hand and self-taught veterinarian .

*Jenii, an African American from Detroit, lives with her father in a suburb and teaches tap & ballet to children.

*Brice, from Japan, is the third prince in line to the thrown of his country and lives in an apartment in the city of Tokyo. There, he works part-time as an antiques dealer and gallery orator.

*Diedre (Daisy), from Argentina, lives with her brother in their village and studies plants with local botanist.

*Xenos is from Nigeria, where he lives with his mother and young sister in a large city. He attends the Nigerian National Culinary Institute in the mornings, training to be a gourmet chef.

Being a Ranger is a full time commitment for the young heroes. They all live in their native home and teleport to the command center when they are called. The battles are often not in Angel Grove, but in space and even on the moon colonies.

Common Attributes of Rangers, by color

Red & Orange Rangers are often leaders because of their cunning, bravery, and decisiveness.

Purple & Pink Rangers are passionate and graceful.

Blue Rangers are honorable and loyal.

Yellow Rangers are caring, warm and smart.

Green Rangers are brave and wise.

Black Rangers are strong and quick, but often have problems with consistency.

Gold and Silver Rangers are very strong and accurate, but often have short lived powers.

A White Ranger is the culmination of all the positive attributes of the others colors and because of this is the strongest.
