The Trip into History

[2116 A.D. Outside the United Federation of Worlds Building in Washington D.C.–The Jewel Rangers, and other Rangers are fighting the Dark Army on Earth. The battle is busy and fierce. Lasers fire about everywhere and smoke fills the air. Many of the Rangers and enemies are dirty and even hurt. The Orange Jewel Ranger, Skyland, is doing her best to hold back the enemy as they try to siege the U.F.W. building as a symbol of their capturing Earth and the entire Milky Way galaxy. The Orange Ranger fires her Rose Jeweled Staff at the enemy and they react by immense fire power. The Purple, Blue, Yellow, Black, and Green Jewel Rangers follow the Orange Ranger's direction to charge the enemy and the Jewel Rangers charge from behind shields and strike the Dark Army. Two other groups of Alien Rangers start to move forward and push the Dark Army back away from the United Federation of Worlds building. Suddenly, the Orange Ranger notices a platoon of the Dark Army moving away from the battle and tells her Rangers to follow her. The Jewel Rangers follow after the platoon but all but the Orange Ranger are stopped by a flood of new soldiers who teleported to the battle.]
[The Orange Ranger comes up over a hill, littered with debris from the battle and sees the platoon racing about a block further down the road, the Orange Ranger puts herself into stealth mode and creeps closer to the enemy who cannot see her.]
Orange Ranger–Why are they leaving the battle…..they aren't even hurt?
[The leader of the Dark Army, Black Nebula (AKA Dark Nebula, a white haired, dark skinned black woman in a black dress with silvery high boots and strands of beads in a ponytail in her short hair), teleports down to the planet and gives instructions to Lurmina and then hands him a digital disk which he puts in a compartment of his suit then walks into the Time/Space portal. Lurmina is the leader of the platoon, a dark faced and yellow eyed tall silvery creature resembling a lizard named Lurminia.]
Orange Ranger (voice)– Black Nebula…What is that witch up to now? (getting closer to the platoon, who are unaware of her)
Black Nebula– Lurminia, take your platoon and my instructions and go into the past and destroy the Rangers….The Rangers of the past won't be able to defeat us.
Lurminia–That sounds great….I will do as you bid me, Mistress of All Evil.
[Dark Nebula holds a power staff in her arm forward and a energy gate opens in front of her. Lurminia tells her platoon to march through. Dark Nebula teleports back to wherever she came from and Lurminia is last to step through the portal after his over 50 Dark soldiers]
Orange Ranger (voice)– Jewel Rangers, I'm going after Lurminia and his platoon through a portal into the past…I will return!
[The Orange Ranger races to get through the portal before it closes after Lurminia]
[The portal opens in back alley of Angel Grove in the year 2000, at which time the current five Rangers are fighting dark forces on Earth and somewhat out in space. The platoon of the Dark Army, headed by Lurminia are blinded by the beautiful sunlight that filters over Angel Grove.]
Lurminia–Must we conquer such a bright place as Angel Grove in the daytime… Better to do battle in the darkness when lazy humans sleep, and young Power Rangers at home for curfew. Come we will rest in this shelter until nightfall. (pointing to an old warehouse)
[The Dark solders, blocking their eyes from the sunlight, go to a door on the warehouse and break in and go inside.]
[Moments after the platoon is safely in the warehouse, the Orange Ranger comes tumbling out of the portal and is knocked unconscious against a trash bin. When knocked unconscious, her powers fade and she is unmorphed and bleeding from the back of her head. Seconds later, the Black Ranger, Vince, is walking by the alley and sees Skyland unconscious on the ground. He rushes to her and calls for an ambulance from his cell phone in his pocket.]
Vince– Hello..This is an emergency..I have found a young woman unconscious in an allet……..it's the alley between 8th and 17th street. Please hurry. (he disconnects and puts his phone in his pocket and looks down to her as she slowly becomes conscious. Skyland looks up to Vince and sits up holding.) Well, I guess you aren't hurt so bad after all! (smiling)
[Skyland looks at Vince oddly]
Skyland–Who are you?
Vince–My name is Vince, what's yours?
Skyland– Sssss……I don't know…I'm supposed toooo….I can't remember.
[An ambulance and a cop car behind it rush into the alley. Medics rush out and come to look at Skyland's head. Minutes later, they leave and a cop talks to Vince away from the medics who simply wrap a bandage around Skyland's head.]
Cop–Well, young man, your new friend there seems to have forgot who she it due to her head injury…Do you have any idea of what we can do for her?
Vince–I am sure I can look after her until she regains her memory.
Cop–(looks at his watch) Sure, kid. That would be great…I'm about to get off duty…It would be timely to admit a Jane Doe at this time..My shift is ending. Good luck to you! (cop walks off and gets into car and drives off)
[The medics get into their ambulance and drive off as well. Skyland looks up to Vince, much like a lost puppy. Vince walks up to her]
Vince–Come on with me, I'll take you to meet my friends at the Youth Center….. Jane.
Skyland–Sure…I suppose…I don't know where I am supposed to be.
[Vince takes Skyland's hand and walks with her away from the alley. Inside the warehouse, the Dark Army is snoring asleep with an alarm clock near them telling them when darkness sets in.]
[Youth Center. The other four Rangers are sitting at a table waiting for Vince to show up. Every one in the Youth Center notices when Vince walks in with Skyland, and her bandaged head. Vince escorts Sky to the table where his friends are sitting.]
Pink Ranger– Vince, who is your new friend?
Vince–This is …Jane…Jane Doe!
[Vince and Sky sit down next to the Rangers.]
Red Ranger– Jane Doe..that's an odd name…your parents must have….
Skyland–I'm sorry, but I don't remember any personal experiences..
[The four Rangers all give her and Vince an odd look]
Vince–I am calling her Jane Doe because I found her in an alley with a head injury and she has no memory of who she is.
Blue Ranger– Oh gosh, that explains the bandage…I didn't now!
[Skyland looks down at the necklace and pulls it fully out of her shirt and looks at it]
Skyland–Hmmmm, I don't remember this….But then again I don't remember anything today!
Vince–It must be a clue as to who you are!
Skyland–Maybe!
[The Juice Bar owner comes to the table and asks the teens if they would like anything. They order and then Vince offers to Sky to buy her a drink if she is thirsty. Sky looks to the drinks served around her and asks for a large glass of room temp. water]
Bar owner– Water…Sure..
[The teens end up spending most of the day together. Later that day, the modern villain poses a threat to Angel Grove by sending one of his monsters to Earth and the Rangers are called into action.]
[The Rangers are playing basketball with Sky when their communicators go off and Sky looks down to her necklace to see that the orange jewel is glowing. The Rangers make an excuse to rush and leave..Vince stays momentarily to see that another friend take Sky to safety before he rushes off. Sky follows the girl who Vince had lead her to safety but is becoming anxious as seconds pass and memories begin to come back to her. The Orange Jewel around her neck glows brighter. Skyland separates herself from her escort and runs toward downtown Angel Grove, where the monster is on a rampage. She gets close enough to see everything when the Power Rangers teleport to the scene and begin battle with the monster. As she watches, her memory comes back to her faster. The sun has now begun to set and the Rangers are still fighting the monster, as the Dark Army begin to wake up in the warehouse a few blocks away. When Skyland sees the Rangers defeat the monster, she steps out into the streets and looks to them, especially the Black Ranger, sensing who he is out of raw instinct.]
Skyland–Vin–
[Sky is distracted suddenly by a strong sense of the evil coming closer, as the Dark Army marches toward the unaware Rangers. The rest of her memories flood to her when she sees Lurminia in the distant. The Black Ranger and Yellow Rangers grab Skyland and pull her to safety. The Yellow Ranger stays with Sky behind a toppled car and looks out at the Army approaching and the four Rangers set to take on the horde]
Yellow Ranger–Jane..You need to stay here while us Power Rangers take care of ….well, whatever army has just arrived to battle us.
[The Yellow Ranger turns back to Skyland who is standing with her hands in front of her jewel in a diamond shape]
Skyland–Orange Jewel Ranger…Citrine-Topaz Power!! (her arms push forward and Skyland transforms into the Orange Jewel Ranger)
Yellow Ranger–Oh my goodness….You're a Ranger! (looking up to Skyland now fully transformed)
Skyland–We need to get out there and fight the Dark Army, Yellow Ranger.
Yellow Ranger–Sure!
[They both get up and head out into the fight that has already started in the posturing level. The platoon of the Dark Army is standing in front of the Rangers and telling them to surrender. Of course the Rangers are refusing when the Yellow Ranger and the Orange Ranger run up along side them. They all get a surprised look upon there faces]
Red Ranger–Who are you?
Orange Ranger–My name is Skyland, you may call me Jane Doe if you prefer!
[The other Rangers suddenly realize who she is and welcome her quickly. Skyland states who the enemy is.]
Skyland–These soldiers are a platoon of the Dark Army. They came here through a Time/Space portal from the year 2116 to defeat you and win control of the future. In my time, all Rangers are battling the Dark Army for control of our Galaxy. I was the only one to make it through their portal. I came to help you defeat them.
Red Ranger–So you are saying these are our new enemies?
Skyland–Yes!!
Red Ranger–Okay! I don't discriminate between villains…..Past, present, or future, if they come to Angel Grove, they will get a serious punishment from the Power Rangers all the same.
Pink Ranger– Let's defeat this goofs!
Yellow–And show them what we can do!!
[The Rangers and Dark Army charge one another and do battle. The Orange Ranger is the most aggressive of fighters as she has the most to lose if she loses. Her own future…. The battle lasts for several hours and the Rangers can only see the enemy by light given off by the moon, stars, and what nearby buildings have power. The Power Rangers and Dark Army grow tired and the Dark Army seems to be getting the upper hand, especially after the current villain of the year 2000 sent down some of his monsters to help the side of evil. The Rangers are certain they will be beaten. At that point the Orange Ranger has an idea.]
Orange Ranger–Come around me I have an tactic that I hope will be strong enough to beat the Dark Army in all this darkness, which lessen my powers.
Vince–What would you have us to do?
Orange Ranger–Focus your powers and mental energy into my staff. It'll make a surge of power that should overtake them.
[The Rangers crowd around the Orange Ranger and focus their energy. A bright beam of white light shoots out of the end of the staff and it blinds the Dark Army and the monsters and pushes them back. The Orange Ranger then reaches down on her belt for a small Prism crystal and holds it near the beam. It reflects off the Army and bounces back into the small prism and in an instant flash of light, the Army and monsters are gone.]
Red Ranger–What happened to them? (looking at the Orange Ranger)
Orange Ranger–I have imprisoned them (holding up the small crystal with the army and monsters inside of it) This should hold them for several thousand years. (she tosses the crystal to the Black Ranger) It might make a nice necklace charm……I got to go!
Pink Ranger–So soon? We barely met you!
Orange Ranger–You aren't supposed to now me…..I'm your future, you make the future possible.
Black Ranger–Good luck, Skyland of the future!!
[The Orange Ranger opens a time portal with her thoughts and the power of the Orange Jewel. She turns to the Black Ranger and gives him a hug and asks him if he would like her to take the prism with her. He offers to trade it for one without inclusions (the Dark Army and two monsters inside). The Orange Ranger laughs at the joke and trades him, then walks through the portal and back to her own time.]
