Note from Author: The tide of battle is about to turn. <h5><center>Traitor By Lamont Stewart</center></h5> Saturday, September 23, 1994 Some time had past since the L-team had lost their powers to Nathan Lee. They are at their hideout talking to Joseph, and Danny. Danny said, "Oh, what are we going to do?" Joseph said, "There is another power source out there, called the Merger Crystals." Lamont said, "Can we get those?" Joseph said, "No, they are in different times and places and we don't have the power or capability to perform such an act yet. But don't worry the time will come. In the meantime, Lamont has the new Kid Vid power that he got from Nathan, not to mention his powers from his Austoros adventure." Aren said, "Yes, but we really should test that ability." Lamont said, "Aren is right, let's go down to the training room. We'll program the holideck creature to get stronger each time I transform so it will seem like a real battle." They went down to the holideck and everyone got in position. Mandy said, "Are you ready?" Lamont said, "Yes, I am. Put it on level 11." Andy said, "Level 11, we never went past level 3 before." Lamont said, "There is a first time for everything. Besides Nathan has proven to be stronger then all of our past enemies, and with our other powers gone, we need to advance our abilities as much as possible." An image of Goldar appeared, and Lamont fought it. When it proved to me too strong, Lamont said, "Let's Do it!" His new Morpher appeared on his wrist, and said, "Kid Vid Power!" The L-hat appeared on Lamont's head, and he transformed into Kid Vid. He fought Goldar some more, and when he was about to lose, in fact he always waited until he had no chance before he went up to the next level. He pulled out the Star Box and placed his Morpher in it and said, "Star Power, Activate!" His power was multiplied by ten and a star appeared on his chest. Roger said, "Why did you wait so long?" Lamont/Star Kid Vid said, "I'm trying to see the full extent of these powers. We will never win, if we just upgrade when we think we have too." He fought Goldar some more, but then Goldar swung his sword at him. Lamont pulled out the Merger Sword, and blocked the shot. They battled with swords for about ten minutes, and then Goldar knocked his sword out of his hand. Lamont/Star Kid Vid said, "It is time to take it to the next level." A Hover board connected to his feet as a powerful cannon attached it's self to each arm. Kind of like the cannons from the Rescue Megazord. Finally his helmet and visor changed. Lamont/Super Kid Vid fired the cannons at Goldar, but as programmed Goldar just got stronger. Lamont closed his eyes and his pendent started to glow. The cannons moved to his shoulders and the hover-board tuned into a jetpack. A Dove appeared in the sky, and attacked it's self it Lamont's back. It grew to his size. Its head went over Lamont's helmet and it turned into the helmet. Lamont's helmet looked like a dove. Lamont/Ultimate Kid Vid battled Goldar, but Goldar was still winning. Lamont said, "Soul Weapon of Fervor Lake, now!" Lamont's sword, Excalibur, from his Austorors adventure, appeared in his hand. Lamont sliced through Goldar, and he was defeated. After the battle Lamont suddenly demorphed back to civilian mode, and collapsed to the ground. He said, "What happened, I've used this before and nothing happened." Joseph said, "Nathan connected your new powers to your life force. The more you use the Kid Vid Powers the more you will be drained." Lamont said, "Then I will have to use my powers only in emergencies." Just then the alarm went off. Andy said, "What is that?" Danny said, "Nathan is here." Roger said, "But how? Only our DNA and people with the code can get past the scanner. So either he's using Lamont's blood, or he's got the code." Lamont said, "The scanner scans your whole body so he must be using the code. That means either he got it from me when I was under his control or somebody here is a traitor." Aren said, "Computer, this is Aren Dyer, Activation Code 002." The computer said, "Voice code recognized." Aren said, "Complete Lock Down." Computer said, "Lock Down Complete, but intruder already in the hanger." Mandy said, "Is he after the trains?" Danny said, "No he is heading toward the ship." Brad said, "But why, he has space travel techniques, the only thing of importance there is the..." All of the Railroaders said, "The Time Machine!" They all started to run to the holding bay. Lamont said, "As soon as we stop Nathan, we have to find out who gave him the codes." Aren said, "Whoever it is, will be sorry." They made it down to the holding bay, but it was too late. Nathan had already activated the time machine, and was gone in a blink of an eye. But before he went he said, "Jacob McLaughlin, is your traitor." Brad said, "What?" Just then a window on the time machine opened up, and Jacob stoke his head out. He said, "I'm afraid it is true. With Nathan I will be finally respected." Lamont said, "Jacob, but we do respect you." Nathan said, "Oh save your breath, Lamont. As you know there are more then one dimension. Also History is not a strait path, but like a railroad track. Parts of it are like a crossroad. Depending on what you do determines the future. The future is not written yet, and soon the past won't be either." After they left, they made it back to the meeting room. Aren said, "Danny, check the time circuits, we need to find out, where he is." Lamont said, "And more importantly, when." <center>~*~</center> Jacob and Nathan were in a small town.
