Lamont, Tina, Danny, Zach, and Richey were meeting at lunch. Lamont said, "I've asked you all to meet me for a reason. You remember that Mickey Mouse character attacking us? Well Danny and me were attacked earlier today by seven Kid Eating Ducks. And by their master Darkviot, the same creature that attacked David and me earlier in the week."

Tina said, "But can we do?"

Lamont said, "Each of us has something special to contribute, we need to work together, if we ever hope to defeat Darkviot and his evil forces."

Zach said, "I guess you're right."

Richey said, "Give us some time to think."

Just then an announcement came on, saying there would be a puppet show later today.

Danny said, "This will be cool, and give us time to have some fun, while we hash out what to do."

They went back to class and waited for the show to begin. When it was time, they carried their chairs down to the Auditorium to watch the show. (At Helke the Gym, Cafeteria, and Auditorium were all the same room. Cozy ain't it.)

As 4th graders, they had to sit in the back, because well they were bigger then everyone else.

The puppet show was funny; it was about a talking horse. Meanwhile, Lamont had a strange feeling. He looked at his crystal, and it was pulsating. "One of Darkviot's creatures is near by." He looked around but saw no one and then continued to watch the puppet show.

Finally after what seemed to be an hour the show was over. Lamont noticed that the Kindergarteners were asleep. He thought the boredom had gotten to them, but then he noticed that one by one each grade was falling into a sleepy trance. Then the crystal made a barrier around the five kids and the spell missed them.

The puppeteer saw them, and said, "So you are the ones I've been sent to kill. I am the Puppet Master, I control all." Just then the kids who were asleep awake and attack the five kids. "See what I mean. And to finish the job, come Tier Upper Chomper."

What Lamont saw next really scared him. There was the person he had faced two years ago when he'd kidnapped Michael. Now he had a mouth the size a football.

The Puppet Master said, "He's like the ghosts in Pac Man, when he bites you, you will be encompasinated.

He then bit Danny and he has paralyzed and fell to the floor, he did the same with Zach. Just then the crystal created a chocolate ice cream ball with orange sherbet coating. The three active ones ate them, and they dropped in the mouth of the other two. They acted like Pac pellets and gave them super strength. All five of them bit him back and paralyzed him. He collapsed to the ground.

Then Lamont pulled out his crystal and held it over him. It glowed pink and the Tier Upper Chomper was returned to normal. Part of the light hit the Puppet Master and his spell was broken over the kids. He then vanished in brown smoke.

Richey said, "I think I speak for all of us when I say, were in."

Tina said, "But what should we call our selves?"

Danny said, "How about the Rescue Rangers?"

Lamont said, "Sounds great to me."

Just then the earth shook. "Is it an Earth quake?" Zach asked.

They ran to the door and saw the fifty-foot giant walking towards them.
